Operations view

Operations are field assignments you can issue to your operatives to combat the spread of the disease. While operatives can undertake any mission with a degree of competence, using the right people for the job is recommended, as they have improved performance in the field.

Types[edit | edit source]

They can be divided into two basic categories:

  • Resourcing operations, which secure the currencies you need to further your fight against disease.
    • Diplomats can undertake diplomatic (white) to secure additional funding through opening local offices. After four have been established, the diplomat can be used for regular duties as any other operative.
    • Scientists can carry out sampling operations (blue) to gain samples for use in research.
  • Containment operations, which deal with the outbreak and spread of the contagion.
    • Containment specialists can carry protection and treatment operations, which help reduce the spread of the disease and its severity (orange).
    • Security operatives provide a hard solution to the spread of the disease, by imposing quarantine and other radical measures against the disease (green).

Overview[edit | edit source]

  • Risks, including the danger to the operative and the potential amount of damage they can take. Risks are determined by infection levels: Uninfected cities are safe to visit, while infected ones are progressively more dangerous to visit, the more infected they are.

None. Quarantine is modified by upgrades in the Security path, first making operatives immune to damage in the quarantined city and then increasing the quarantine health to +3 Quarantines this city. No infected can get in or out.
